I used to lead a small group of girls from my church. Hannah and the girls would come over and we’d all snuggle up in my room at my parent’s house and work through the drama of being a young girl on a high school campus. The water’s are murky and navigating high school is tricky. I don’t know that I was the best leader but I firmly believe that kids just need to talk to other people who have “been there” and I was so happy to just be there for my girls.

Facebook has been an interesting way to catch up with some of those girls who I haven’t seen in years and I love to see how they’re doing. Hannah called me when her and Nu’U got engaged and we met up with her mom over coffee at Nordstrom Cafe. Hannah’s whole face lights up when she talks about Nu’U and it’s so apparent that they are ooey-gooey for each other. Hannah mentioned wedding planning stress and I gently reminded her that details are just that; details. The MAIN thing is taking vows before God and marrying Nu’U. Patty, Hannah and I shared a few misty-eyed moments and talked about how all of this came to be and before I knew it we were shooting their engagement photos and photographing their wedding day!
Hannah and Nu’U thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day. It was such a blessing to watch you two together!! We can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both!
