Christie and Seth are the most amazing couple. We got to team up with some of our all-time favorite vendors to pull off this spectacular event. The details were beautiful, the bride was STUNNING, and the rain clouds cleared up just in time!
So let’s start at the beginning, back in June when we met up with Christie (another friend from my days slinging burgers at Islands) and Seth we chatted about their vision. Seth told me that he wanted to shoot flowers out of rockets when they kissed at the end of their ceremony and Christie had envisioned mis-matched china and an out door living area for guests to lounge on. At the end of my meetings with brides I like to ask them if they need any vendor referrals and this is what happened with Christie and Seth :)
I sent them over to our gal pals at In The Now and we got the ball rolling on capturing their vision and coordinating the details of the day. I also had to tell them about our favorite planning and inspiration site Wedding Chicks. Then I started foaming at the mouth and telling them how much I love Mel and all her delicious treats over at Sweet and Saucy Shop. And finally we talked DJ’s and I sent them over to the man who ran my own wedding wonderfully, DJ Chuck. Then they hand picked some other rad vendors, YUMMY ice cream sandwiches from CoolHaus. Scrumptious catering from Stone Fire Grill. Beautiful flowers done by the talented Sherry from Sherry’s Party Affair.
The day was perfect! The skies cleared and the trolleys brought guests to the ceremony site, the lawn of the Hamilton Estate in Orange. The Groom and his boys pulled up to the ceremony in “the BEAST” a topless, monster van. Their ceremony was rich with emotion and they were married under a giant tree so roots were a theme throughout their day. Christie and Seth even planted a tree together as a symbol of the roots they are planting together by commiting to this marriage for a lifetime. Remember those exploding flower guns for the kiss, well Seth calls them floral-technics and they want off without a hitch! They looked amazing and even though I knew it was coming they still startled me :) The girls and guys all looked great and the estate offered SO many rad locations for portraits. The tables were set with the mis-matched China Christie had dreamed up and guests could take a dish home at the end of the night which was the coolest gift ever!
