I always tell my friends, “Marriage material is not going to be the guy you meet at a bar.” Well, Cindy and John proved my theory to be wrong, WAY wrong. Four years ago Cindy’s friends took her out for a girls night and she met John. The phrase “sparks flew” was thrown around in all of their toasts the night they were married. And it’s funny, because they said sparks flew 4 years ago but it was so evident that the “sparks” were still there. When John looked at Cindy for the first time that day you could see “WOW” written all over his face. He looks at her like that ALL the time. We felt to blessed to be there to witness the way they love each other and the way everyone loves them.
I met John and Cindy quite a long time ago and after they booked us we got the sad news that their wedding would be postponed. Cindy’s mom was diagnosed with cancer and would be undergoing treatment. We prayed for her recovery and we were thrilled when we got the news that the wedding had been rescheduled and Janney was recovering. I met Cindy’s mom the day of the wedding and I never would have known. Her gorgeous hair had grown back and her face glowed in excitement for her daughter. I felt emotional every time I saw her. She’s a walking, breathing miracle. When CIndy hugged her parents after walking down the aisle I cried as they all embraced. I could feel their love and gratefulness for each other.
We LOVE our job.
I will get to the photos but I will leave you with this… Cindy’s dad toasted them with something simple yet full of truth & wisdom, “Love each other, trust each other and help each other.” It may not be profound but wouldn’t it be cool if all married couples actually treated each other this way? Just a thought.
