This year is drawing to a close. 2011 has been great to us. Our clients have been wonderful and we got to see so many marriages start off on the right foot. We also got to do a bit of traveling this year, which we love! It’s always so fun to experience someplace with fresh eyes.

Well, Jen and Mark contacted us and asked us to come up to San Francisco. How could we refuse?! We love the city and our some of our favorite eateries are up in the bay area. It’s always a fun mystery when you travel for weddings. We get to see a glimpse of our clients’ faces in a photo and chat a bit through email correspondence, maybe a few phone calls but we have yet to meet them. So, far it has always been such a rad experience. Jen and Mark were kind, welcoming, funny and warm. Best of all they just LOVED each other. I always try to write about this and I’m quite sure I fail miserably EVERY time but there is a love that is tangible. Some people have it and some people don’t. It doesn’t make your love good or bad, right or wrong, it’s just something that is really so neat to experience. It’s one of the reasons I so passionately love my job. I feel super privileged and extremely lucky to get to soak up a little bit of that love electricity. I am also so lucky that I am challenged to try to capture that love through photography. Our prayer is that we capture it well.

Jen and Mark, thank you for asking us to be there. Thank you for loving each other. We hope your marriage is filled with long walks through the city and deep conversations about the future. I hope our paths cross again. HUGS!
